Happy December!
It is officially holiday land at our house! We put our Christmas tree up and Ian has already tried to hang himself with the Christmas lights in attempt to make the season bright. Nothing says 'Happy Holidays' like watching him hang the all-ready tested lights, strand by strand, only to plug them in see no happy shiny lights. 'Tis the season!
Getting our tree was a adventure as always. This was the first year in 5 or 6 years that Ian couldn't get out of tree cutting with us. His previous excuses, (i mean, reasons!) have been either work or a infant that needed watching while the rest of us went out in the freezing cold on the great tree hunt. He was very disappointed this year when he realised the last baby is almost two and he couldn't use her as a excuse to stay back by the warm fire. Kary would have much preferred to stay by the fire with daddy, as we didn't notice until we started out on our trek that her boots didn't fit. I had squished her short, fat feet into boots that SHOULD have fit, but didn't leave room for her fat arch. So we start traipsing through the woods, with Kary whining, and us ignoring her (hey! she' two! She whines all the time!) until one of us notices that her left food doesn't look right. Her foot was wedged in crooked and wouldn't fit straight! So I had to carry our sweet little angel the rest of the time. I swear her snowsuit added 10lb.s! Since i was out of commission, Papa and Ian had to do the scouting. They found some great trees up a mtn., and slid back down with them without injury. They did such a great job picking the trees, I'm thinking I might stay by the fire next year...........
Speaking of our almost 2 year old, her birthday is this week! I can't believe it! She has definitely been going through her terrible twos but is still cute and cuddly and mommy's baby. She isn't as vocal as Aly was at that age, so she gets frustrated when we don't understand her every word. But for some reason she can say 'no, mom' quite clearly. Hmm. Little stinker! But she is a sweet little girl, loves to play with her big sis and 'help' mommy and daddy around the house. If I'm cooking she pulls a chair up to the counter to stand on and says 'help help' until i give her something to do. She also loves to sing, dance and play with her babies. Sometimes her baby gets in trouble for pooping in her pants, so Kary tells her 'no, no' and puts her on the potty. Luckily baby hasn't fallen in yet, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time!
Aly is VERY excited for Christmas this year. She can't wait for 'ho-ho' to bring her a reindeer, car, crocodile and butterfly. She woke up a few nights ago in a panic because she forgot to ask Santa for a giraffe as well. Santa is not sure exactly how to get all these things, but is hoping to luck out at Ross.....
Pictures will follow soon, need to find the camera first...........

Nana will work with "ho-ho" on that request...
Hi you, old friend! I'm so glad to find you. I still mean every day to reply to your awesome email but since I am as typically as un-on-top of things as I ever was, I figured I'd leave a comment first to at least get communication rolling again. Love to you and your beautiful family!
